Super Bowl XXXIX

After seeing my entry for John's Weekend Assignment, G. laughingly allowed me to enjoy the Super Bowl in my own way!! He watched the game while I read Journals and message boards, and perused one of my new books -- Totally Tasteless Photo Shop Elements. Each time a set of commercials would come up, he would alert me...

"Hon, your part is on"

"Hon, new commercials"

"Baby, heads up commercials"

<LOL> So, in my own way I enjoyed the Super Bowl. I even watched the Halftime Show, which turned out to not be so bad... That stage that Paul McCartney had was amazing to say the least.

My Favorite commercial spots were by Ameriquest and the set of four where labeled as Don't Judge to Quickly.... When you click on the link it will give you the opportunity to check out all 4 of the spots. My favorite was Surprise Dinner.

So, Thank you G. for making my Super Bowl dream come true <ROFL>

I hate football. My hub and son had it blasting all day long. From this morning with games for superbowls past. I tried napping, reading, signing on but I just couldn't take the noise. Now he's on the couch. That's cute that you liked the commercials. Here's a link to all the superbowl 2005 commercials if you haven't seen it yet. That could have saved you all the jumping up and down to catch them. http://sports.channel.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads

Your method of enjoying the Super Bowl is much what I'd choose.  However, I allowed grandchildren the use of my computer:  I have one they always use in the bedroom, but it was a fairly long, rainy day for them here, and my daughter has three kids.  I didn't want boredom to set in, because that would have made it difficult for the others to watch the game.  I read a lot of a Mark Rashid horsemanship book during the game, to guide me in my treatment of the daughter's horse.

I saw bits and pieces of the game. I got riled up when the Eagles started trailing behind. I went online and saw the rest of the commercials. http://journals.aol.com/dcmeyer420/DearDiary/

LOL That is the perfect way to enjoy the SuperBowl!! I would run in everytime it was commercials myself. But geez, how many times do we have to watch that size 0 cowgirl chick ride that mechanical bull eating a hamburger we all know she is going to bulimic it right after the commercial?? Hmmm just a thought :o)

I didn't catch much if any of the game, although hubby did.  I tried to catch the commercials but didn't do such a good job at that either.  lol

Yep, I agree the Surprise Dinner was the funniest.  Saw all the commercials but not much of the game.  Was busy crotcheting--tho at one point I and half the guys took a little nap...early in the 4th quarter. :)

What is it with us females?  We all like the commercials!  Sadly, we were out all day and I didn't get to watch the commercials.  IF I had to watch, I would've wanted the kind of set up you had.  PERFECT. :-)

I liked the Ameriquest commercials too -- especially the one with the guy in the convenience store and the cat.

And the halftime was the best its been in ages.

I'm so glad you stopped by my journal!  My caffeine headaches are still persisting!!!  How many more days until Good Friday??? lol.  I do love football but I really watch the SuperBowl for the commercials.  I did an entry on my favorite football commercial of all time a week or two ago... I really AM a warehouse of useless knowledge : )
I like your journal and will be back!

Graphics are cool.  God that sounds like a teenagers response, but they are cool(Well, at least I didn't say 'neat').  The commercials were pretty funny, I did, however, get into the game.  More so after half-time, and Paul McCartney's show was really good.  The stage was a little more original than most.
